sadly, the entry i posted last wednesday didn't want to stay on my site.  i guess it just wasnt meant to be.  bute ill give you a brief synopsis of the vital information i included.

i had three tests on thursday.  history, greek, and youth ministry.  crazily enough, i didnt start studying till after we went to red lobster for dinner (jill and jen were celebrating the end (and the 98 they got) on their project.) and church.  i know, i know, i should have been studying that whole time.  but, well....i just wasnt too worried.  rest assured i did finally end up studying for about three hours in the library that night, and then another at home before i went to sleep.  i concluded by asking if anyone wanted to go to the park, or the movies....i was open to suggestions.

i think i did satisfactorily on all three tests.  i guess its good to have a photographic memory.

i went to oklahoma city this weekend on a campaign.  we served with a food bank to get thanksgiving meals ready for people in lower income families to pick up.  we also got to go to the OKC memorial again.  it was again quite sobering.  it really hurts to know that people are still grieving that one horrific day that changed so many people's lives forever.  i pray God protects their hearts.

i was also dared to eat a not so alive grasshopper.  you may be thinking im way too smart to accept this offer.  well....unfortanaltey you're wrong.  i accepted.  but i had conditions.  someone else had to go in on it with me.  he agreed to eat the head.  im sure you can guess which end i got left with.  my suspicions were all proved true as i swallowed and realized that it did indeed tasted disgusting.  but we got it all on video, and watched it numerous times.  many laughs were brought by this video so i figured it was worth it.  whatever i can do to further the sense of humor of humanity.

im going home tommorow, after...yep, you guess it, ANOTHER history test.  they never stop.  ive decided my teacher is border-line insane.  oh well.

i have to go to chapel now.  its cool though.  i like chapel.

we happened upon a cat tonight in the short distance from our apartment to my car.  the shrill meow of a feline in distress always tugs at the heart strings.  being the "girls" that we are we went to the store to buy milk for it and hung out with it for a while. we also fed it some very questionable lunch meat thats probably been in our fridge since the beginning of the semester.   im sure he didnt mind.  i realize that the time will come soon enough that we'll have to say our goodbyes and let him brave this cold rainy night alone.

it was fun while it lasted.

we're also not supposed to have pets.  at all.  so dont tell.  but i think ill let it chill at our pad for a little while longer.  it gives me an excuse not to do my exegesis paper.

i bet many of you are wondering how these past few days that i have not written about have been spent.

...ok, probably not, but humor me.

well, let's see.  today was pretty good.  i had a history test.  i think i did rather well.  and i got out of greek twenty minutes early.  i met the people that are going on my spring break campaign.  they seem cool.  jen and i made some sort of chicken concoction that i must say turned into what some might call a culinary masterpiece (and by "some" i mean...me.)

i hung out with my "wildcat kid" for the first time today.  his name is tyler.  he's 10.  his room reminded me of a science museum.  it was cool.

note to self: don't give a ten year old kid ice cream. hyper activity is inevitably immenent.

ive noticed something about myself as of late.  i think i am one of those people that gets depressed when its cloudy.  weird, i know since i think rain is cool.  but i think what it is is that im okay with the rain, but not the threat of it.  i dont know why.  i wonder if they have a name for that.

note to self #2: never move to seattle.

i used "is" twice in the same sentence, 4 sentences ago.  did you catch that?  i always think its weird how you can use the same word back to back and its still gramatically correct.

bling bling.

we went to the drive-in theatre tonight.  friday night lights is quite good.  you have to like football a lot though.  and it definitley depicts the reality of the small town mentality of football.  the best part was it was all free. cant argue with that.

you know what's so great about God?  you can mess up a thousand times and He still loves you so much.  His grace is amazing.  it makes you not want to mess up.  but we do.  even so He embraces you with a love that can only be given from our heavenly father.  praise God.
